Belarusian cinema matters! The Belarusian Film Critics Award Red Heather celebrates the best achievements in Belarusian independent cinema. It is awarded by film critics, journalists, and researchers, now in 15 nominations. The award showcases the importance of the art of cinema for Belarusian culture and democratic changes in the country. The 3rd season's Red Heathers will be awarded in February 2026.
The Belarusian Film Critics Award Red Heather has revealed its shortlist of nominees in 15 categories. 60 movies created in 2023 and 2024 have competed for the award, out of a total number of 74 submissions. The short list was selected by the jury consisting of 20 film critics, journalists and researchers.
